Autograph letter signed : Woodford, to Arthur Moore, [1889 Apr. 6-7].

Discussing his affair with the barmaid called "Lena," expressing pleasure that Moore has had the opportunity to meet her and asking his opinion of her. Noting that Moore has correctly guessed her age, and that she will "not be seventeen until the 30th of May next." Expressing surprise that Dowson cares so much about the affair, noting "I think it is chiefly because she is such an absolute child ... and in spite of obvious faults, she is on the whole pleasant to look at." Mentioning their collaborative work on "The Passion of Dr. Ludovicus." With a postscript (dated Sunday proper) stating that he has had "an intensely lazy day" and has he regrets to say, "meditated only -- on Ludovicus." Promising to deliver it by Tuesday, and asking Moore to forgive his "most unworthy collaborator."
